The selection of composite materials consists of three layers: the outer layer, the middle layer, and the inner layer.
The outer layer is the printing material, which can be OPP, PET, PA, BOPP, or matte BOPP depending on the product being packaged. The middle layer is usually made of high-strength and high-barrier materials such as PET, PA, VMPET, or aluminum foil. The inner layer is the heat sealing layer, which is usually made of PE, CPE, or CPP with strong low-temperature heat sealing properties. The surface tension of the composite surface must meet the composite requirements, and the surface tension of the hot cover must be lower than 34mN/m, with good anti-pollution, anti-static, and heat sealing abilities.
For powder products, 2-3 layers of structure are generally used, such as PET/PE, NY/PE, BOPP/VMPET/PE and other structures, which are used to package light-weight products like fragrances, granulated sugar, and toner. The three-layers material is designed to attain a certain decoration effect.
Fluid products generally use 3 to 4 layers of structures, such as PET/AL/PE, PET/NY/PE, PET/AL/PET/PE, PET/AL/NY/PE and other structures, which are used to package salad dressings, vegetables, fruit sauces, shampoo, conditioner, jelly and other fluid products, using 3 to 4 layers of materials to ensure that the requirements of physical performance are met.
Liquid products generally use 3 to 4 layers of material structure, with the main purpose of protecting the transportation and use of products for process design. NY/NY/PE, PET/NY/PE and other structures are mostly used to package juices, beverages, some alcohol, red wine and even water, daily chemical laundry detergents and other products. Of course, some lightweight liquid spout pouches also have two-layers material structure design. For instance, for products under 100ml, there will be NY/PE or PET/PE structure products.
In the above structure, we found that CPP is not used as the base material, which is due to the limitations of CPP and the special need to be paid attention to in the spout pouches choosing.
